Learn Powerful Internet Marketing, SEO, and Website Design Strategies for Increased Profits and a Better Website ROI

Maximize YOUR business and financial results by unleashing the tremendous power of the Internet.

Do you want a better website ROI? Of course you do! After all, a better website ROI typically means improved cash-flow, increased profits, and more cash in your checking account. However, if you're like most small business owners, you're having difficulty achieving the results you want. You know there's a problem...but you don't know how to solve it.

Unfortunately, this is a common problem. Just a few years ago a successful commercial website was relatively easy to achieve. It seemed that all you had to do was build a website and wait for the traffic (and sales) to roll in. But, times have changed. Now, the Internet is more competitive and more complex. And, you need new information, new tools, and new processes to compete and win in the Internet "game."

YOU can still play to win! And here are two reasons why.

First of all, the Internet continues to grow as a business medium. Every day, more and more people are turning to the Internet to find the goods and services they want to buy! And, this now applies to "local search" as well as to the more traditional national search. Therefore, even if nothing else changed, the Internet business opportunity keeps growing and growing and growing.

And second, many businesses are continuing to do what they've always done in terms of their Internet business model. However, because of the growing complexity and competitiveness of the Internet, their unwillingness to adapt to the new Internet business realities means they're really just falling further and further behind. Their reluctance to change with the times makes them a very easy target.

Here's YOUR opportunity...

IF you're willing to play the Internet marketing game by the new rules, it's totally possible to leap past your "do what they've always done" competitors and carve out new and profitable online markets for YOUR business!

And here's YOUR question..

Isn't this exciting opportunity worthy of some serious investigation?

Simply stated, a better website ROI is the result of having the right information, using the right tools, and adhering to a sound business process. This applies to the effective development of your website, it applies to the ongoing utilization of your website, and includes all of the Internet marketing strategies you use to obtain increased website visibility, traffic and profits.

My goal is to provide you, the small business owner, with the critical insight, information, tools and services that you need to compete effectively and SUCCEED ON THE INTERNET.

In short, I want YOU to:

  1. Successfully use the Internet as a powerful and productive marketing and business building tool.
  2. Successfully increase your ebusiness profitability and achieve a better website ROI.
  3. Successfully accelerate your rate of business growth.
The Typical Internet Marketing Challenge

If you're like most other small business owners, you're feeling challenged by the increasing complexity of ecommerce and the Internet. You're overwhelmed by the vast assortment of competing systems, software and tools available to you; by all the conflicting Internet marketing hype you encounter; and by all the empty promises being made by self-serving Internet marketing promoters.

You've probably tried a long list of Internet marketing and search engine optimization ideas, but you haven't achieved the results you were expecting. You've tried to get the Internet marketing and SEO answers you need from your existing ebusiness service providers, with limited success. And, with all of your normal day-to-day business challenges, you lack the time to focus, do the necessary in-depth research, and sort everything out on your own.

Bottom line, you feel stuck, and you don't know where to turn for the answers you need to move forward towards increased profits, a better website ROI, and greater Internet business success.

Whatever your challenges, you're in the right place for help finding the answers you need to move forward! However, there are some very important issues to consider BEFORE you invest your valuable time and money trying to achieve a better website ROI and increased ebusiness profits.

IMPORTANT
The design and construction of your website is just one piece of the Internet marketing puzzle. (But, it MUST be done right if you're serious about winning!)

First and foremost, ebusiness is all business. As in any business, success requires thorough planning and careful execution. Increased ebusiness success and a better website ROI are no exception to this rule.

However, many business owners try and solve their ebusiness sales and profit problems the wrong way. That is, without a clear, well thought out plan and without a road map for success.

One common misconception is that "a new website" is the quick and easy answer to almost any ebusiness problem. After all, a new website is fun to plan, it can be done rather quickly, and it almost always looks better than the old website when it's completed. It's the ultimate "feel good" solution.

However, a new website, by itself, achieves relatively little. To be successful, a new website MUST be part of a broader plan. Otherwise, most of the original business issues will remain unsolved... and in most cases, any expectations of improved profitability or a better website ROI will not be met.

Many other business owners spend their time looking for the quick fix, the one-size-fits-all solution, the easy way out. However, results from these types of efforts tend to be short-lived or non-existent. As a result, these business owners are destined to forever continue searching, and repeating an endless cycle of disappointment and failure over and over and over, again and again and again.

Technical Skills vs. Marketing Skills

Unless you have the time and capabilities to handle everything yourself, you need Internet marketing support, search engine optimization support, and technical website support to compete effectively on the Internet. However, if you're like most other small business owners, you don't know where to turn for effective Internet marketing and search engine optimization guidance.

As a result, you tend to rely on the only resource available, your technical website designer, to serve as your Internet marketing and SEO expert. Unfortunately, and for very predictable reasons, this often leads to disappointing results, delays, and redundant efforts to achieve your goals of increased profitability and a better website ROI.

Without a doubt, there are many outstanding independent technical website designers and website design firms who work hard to insure their client's Internet success. And, I'm fortunate to know some who fit this description.

However, there are many others who either lack the ability or lack the desire to truly understand and support their client's unique business and marketing goals. All too often they create an attractive but under-performing website. They collect their fees. And finally, they leave the business owner to figure out all of the really important, long-term Internet marketing and search engine optimization "stuff" on their own!

I'll be the first to admit that a talented technical webite designer is a very valuable resource. But, remember this: The person who can readily solve complicated technical issues is probably NOT the best person to solve your business strategy and Internet marketing issues.

After all, these two skill sets typically require very different personalities, very different training, very different backgrounds, and very different experience.

Look at it this way. What capabilities would you want in a person if you were hiring a new Vice President of Marketing for your business? What tasks would you want him/her to perform? And, what type of a professional background would you expect? The answers are obvious!

Want some good news? Here it is:

"Any lack of Internet business success in the past does not limit your potential for Internet business success in the future."

You can achieve a better website ROI, increased profitability, and greater Internet business success. But, you need a plan to succeed -- you need a "roadmap for your success."

Long-term Internet business success requires that you have the right outlook about what needs to be done. It requires having the right information. It requires learning and applying a variety of potentially new and extremely effective Internet marketing strategies. And, it requires the development of a well thought out action plan that includes all of your critical success factors.

Then, and only then, if you conclude that a new website is necessary to help achieve your Internet business goals, be 100% certain that each and every detail contained within the new website's specifications is properly aligned with the goals and objectives contained within your action plan.

Your Primary Options

At its most basic level, you can improve your rate of return and achieve a better website ROI by doing one or more of the following:

  1. Increase traffic to your website.
  2. Improve your conversion rates.
  3. Modify your monetization options.
  4. Reduce your costs.

Of course, each of these four primary options encompass a multitude of individual business tactics. The good news is that the individual tactics you need for your business are contained somewhere within this list. The bad news is that if you don't know how to identify the most appropriate tactics for your specific business, or if you listen to the wrong sources for your ebusiness advice, success can be very elusive. And, the resulting lost income can be substantial.

No matter how you look at it, "lost revenue" and "lost profit" are not part of anyone's formula for a better website ROI.

Where Do You Start?

That's easy. At the beginning!

As with any business problem, you start with a detailed assessment of your existing business and then develop a clear picture of where you want to go. You put your business under a microscope and look at your business strengths and weaknesses as well as your opportunities and threats, including an assessment of the competitive landscape. And last but not least, you must understand how to effectively "weave" your business into the fabric of the Internet.

The questions you must ask yourself (and find answers to) include:

  • How do you define your category and your niche?
  • What role does the Internet play in your overall marketing mix?
  • Are there hungry buyers for your product or service?
  • How can you find those hungry buyers?
  • How do you generate your keywords?
  • Is your website effectively optimized.
  • Is your website properly monetized?
  • Are your headlines and copy descriptive and engaging?
  • Is your navigation well designed?
  • Does your website generate a sense of "Trust?"
  • Are you building an opt-in membership list?
  • How are you utilizing your membership list?
  • ... and, the list of critical questions continues on and on!

As you begin, all reasonably appropriate tactics should be evaluated for their potential to positively impact your business and contribute to a better website ROI. Then, decisions must be made. A well thought out action plan is needed. And finally, you must always test, evaluate, and only if the test results are favorable, "permanently" adopt each change.

Making "quick fix" changes without addressing the full scope of the problem will almost always yield mediocre results, waste time, and end up costing you money. Only take those steps that will effectively contribute to your goal of a better website ROI.

An Example

Let's look at a simple scenario.

You have a website that was professionally designed and built (probably at considerable expense). You're proud of it's overall look and feel. And, your current goal is to increase the quality and quantity of traffic into your business.

Let's further assume that you currently generate nearly all of your traffic through a marginally profitable pay-per-click campaign. And finally, you've concluded that merely expanding this marginally profitable pay-per-click campaign to generate additional traffic does not make good business sense. You want a better website ROI. what would you do?

  1. You might decide to increase your knowledge about Google Adwords and keyword strategies to increase your effectiveness in the pay-per-click arena.
  2. You might decide to maintain your reliance on your existing pay-per-click campaign IF specific steps can be taken to reduce your pay-per-click costs, improve your conversion rates, and/or increase your average transaction value.
  3. You might decide to evaluate a variety of new and different paid traffic generating techniques.
  4. You might decide to thoroughly investigate why your expensive and attractive website must rely on pay-per-click advertising for the majority of its traffic.

If this was your business, do you know how you should prioritize these options, and why? Or, do you know what additional issues might come into play? If you don't know these answers, it can cost you a lot of money, either through unnecessary incremental costs, or through lost revenue opportunities (also called "opportunity cost"). Either way, it hurts!

It's also important to stress that you shouldn't let yourself be swept away by some hot new idea of the day, or some over-hyped instant download, or a "one-size-fits-all" solution! Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Don't Let Opportunity Cost Steal Your Profits

Here's another pitfall to avoid.

Procrastination, false starts, wasted efforts, or chasing quick fix solutions will almost always cost you money. It's the "Opportunity Cost."

"Opportunity Cost" is defined as "the financial loss resulting from NOT doing something." It's a concept that's easy to overlook, but it's very real!

For example, if you were to implement a quick fix to your web site that generated a $10,000 per year net profit, and as a result of implementing that quick fix you delayed for one year the implementation of a more comprehensive change that could have generated a $50,000 per year net profit, then your opportunity cost would be $40,000 (the difference between the profit that was actually realized and the profit that could have been realized).

You're goal is to be financially prudent, but don't let profit improvement opportunities slip through your fingers!

There's no benefit in allowing your goal of a better website ROI take multiple years to accomplish. Consider the opportunity cost if you delay getting started!

Get a Bigger Share of Available Internet Traffic

The growth of the Internet seems to be non-stop. There are more than 6 BILLION Internet searches per month in the United States. That's 200 million searches per day, 8.3 million searches per hour, 139 thousand searches per minute, or more than 2,000 searches that occur each and every second throughout the day. And, that's just search engine volume. It doesn't include the people who are actively browsing the Internet but not using a search engine.

Understandably, you want your fair share of Internet traffic. After all, traffic is a vital part of your better website ROI equation. And, it's out there for the taking.

Sure, new tools and technologies keep evolving onto the Internet landscape. But, you don't have to be on the cutting edge to succeed. Today there are people all across the Internet who are looking for exactly what YOU have to offer.

Start by arming yourself with good, solid, factual information from resources you can trust. Develop a detailed road map for success. And power it with your personal drive and determination! Your better website ROI will follow.

The Bottom Line

If you're a time-starved, multi-tasking business owner who wants to cut through all of the conflicting marketing hype, buzz words, and website techno-jargon and take control of the issues and costs affecting a better website ROI, then you've come to the right place.
